Thanks for the reply. I like the snorkle idea...I was told that couldn't be done with a carburated machine, but you're proof that is not true. The intake will be next on my list. I'm picturing cutting a hole in the front of my airbox and running a big tube basically straight thru the underside of the dash to make my own design of a Ram Air. Quieter would be a big plus too. Thanks for gettin the wheels turning. WHen you jetted it were you able to get a good read off the plug? I have the Dynojet kit and basically went up in sizes till she lost power then backed down 1 size but never could see much change in the plug color. I'd like to go leaner for more power but I'm a little scared to burn it up.
On the cam vs. a big bore...I've heard of problems with the Big Bore on both long term life of the bottom end and I've heard of guys having head gasket issues. I just hate to loose reliability. I don't know how big the cam actually is vs. stock, but I did put one in a quad years ago and it made my quad into an absolute monster.
Has anybody else out there put a cam in the Rhino? What do you think of it?
Thanks,
Dan
I'm not quite sure what you mean by the Bradly approach although it sounds like what I'm after. Do you have any pics ot a website?
At for the cdi and clutch thing...first, I installed the Black Rhino CDI- no more power but reved to the moon on top end...probably too much so next I went after the Trinity sheath. It did exactly what it was suppose to do, it reves higher during acceloration and pulls harder. On top end it gave me a couple more MPH with lower RPM's - perfect! Now is doesn't sound like I'm gonna launch a rod when I'm at WOT. I just wondered if other CDI boxes actually made HP or if theirs really only raises the rev limiter like mine did. I'd hate to waste money if it is the same thing.

I'm looking for ways go get more power from my 660 Rhino without breaking the bank. I have a Black Rhino CDI, DynoJet Kit, Trinity Sheath (best bang for the buck so far), K&N filter, drilled out one baffel and ground out some of the inside of the intake mfd. I now get about 50-53MPH on top, not too bad) but would like more acceleration!!! I know a supercharger or turbo would be great, but I just don't have the funds (too many hobbies) plus, I need the reliability.
I was thinking possibly a cam and air box mod. Has anybody tried a cam and how did it work out? Also I'm looking for some inexpensive air box mods (perhaps some pics) to help it breath but I need to be careful...lots of mud and water in Ohio. I'm also wondering if the DynaTech CDI box is all they crack it up to be..I mean, I have the Black Rhino CDI and yes it now revs to the moon, but unlike what DynaTech claims, it didn't give it more power.
Thanks,
Dangerous Dan- Medina Ohio
