#1 Re: Rhino Parts and Accessories » Problems with Main Switch Assembly? » 2007-06-30 14:27:19

Has anyone had problems with the main switch assembly (key ignition switch), or had any electrical problems in this area or in the battery box area, such as with the starter relay assembly? I have the 2006 Rhino 660, I recently had an ignition problem, turn the key but no juice, I was told my starter relay assembly was thought to have went bad, I replaced it with no change. Now I am told it could be the main switch assembly itself. I am still waiting for that part to come in. Has anyone experienced this type of electrical problem before? Thanks.

Thanks guys, I have to agree, I went and looked at the 5x10 and it is just to tight a fit. The 6x12 just seems to be a better fit. The extra cash is defenitely worth it. Appreciate the advice.

I have a 2006 Rhino 660 with 26" terracross tires and 14" ITP SS wheels. I currently cannot decide what size trailer to haul my Rhino on. I need a trailer that is lightweight, as I will be pulling with a small truck or SUV. I have owned a 6x14 trailer which was way bigger than what I need for only hauling the Rhino on. I am looking at a 5x10 for $695 and 6x12 for $850. Both of these trailers are single axle and have side and front rails plus drive-on gate. Is the 5x10 trailer large enough for the Rhino to fit on or do I need to spend the extra cash for the 6x12? Has anyone put the Rhino on a 5x10, if so how did it fit. Any opinions would be helpful. Thanks.

My family uses our 660 rhino for utility work on the family farm and I personally would not use anything else. I've had plenty of farm trucks etc., but they just don't match up to the versatility of the rhino. I have hauled everything from rock, gravel, dirt, hay, and plenty of deer in the bed of my rhino. The only complaint I have for using the rhino for work on the farm is storage. When I have a full load in the bed of whatever I'm hauling, it leaves very little room to haul any tools etc. As for buying used, I am not qualified in this field. Sorry can't help there.

I need opinions on putting a lift on my Rhino. Anyone out there lifted the Rhino? If so, how did it work out and was it hard to install. What brands? etc. Thanks.  big_smile

Anyone out there who is in the market now or in the future for a snow plow for the rhino, be aware of the mounting plate. The moose snow plow comes with a mounting plate that U-bolts to the front frame and has a 6 inch drop, taking away ground clearance. This mount has to be removed before riding just about anywhere and reinstalled with 4 U-bolts whenever needed. This becomes a true hassle where I live. Has anyone tried to modify this mount or have any suggestions on making this mount permanent without losing so much ground clearance?

Haven't heard much on the holeshot ATR, I have ITP Terratrac Radials on my 660 rhino and they do pretty good. Smooth ride and compettive on the trails.

Hey everyone, I'm Don from Tyler County, West Virginia. I own a 2006 Rhino 660 with lots of aftermarket accessories. Hope to have pics up soon. Riding around this area is mainly trails and mud. I have had my rhino for a while, but people around here haven't caught on to the UTV buzz as much as I hoped. Hope to see more UTV owners post from this area in the near future.
