Selling this to fund my Ranger habit
I ride for a while and shut the engine off with the front down hill (Fairly steep). Upon restart starts stumbling runs like crap and dies. If I get it to level ground and let it sit for a while it restarts, cleans out, and runs great. No issues on flat ground at all.
I replicated the problem by pulling the rear end up onto my quad hauler. I shut it off for a few seconds and restarted. The same thing! Stumbles runs like ass and then dies. I can smell gas when it's running bad. I pulled the seat and checked out the top of the motor the last time it did it. I didn't fee any fuel or any issues under the cover.
I recently bought this XP and this is only the second time I've ridden it. It was slow tipped onto the driver's side by the previous owner. I don't know of any other issues. I have no idea of the maint history either. It has 274 hours on it. Any ideas??? Thanks, Troy
Here is a pic. I also scored a new cage today for $250 from a guy who was upgrading his cage. Sweeeeeeet Troy
I just traded my 05 Polaris Sportsman Browning hunter 700efi for a Ranger. My quad was in great condition (Barely used).
The Ranger is an 05 XP with aftermarket tires and wheels. It has a CD stereo with 6 speakers, custom grill, wink mirrior, and harnesses. The previous owner layed it on the drivers side. He used a tow strap to the cage to right the Ranger and bent the hell out of the cage. I found a new cage I am getting ready to install. Frame looks great and I don't see any other issues with it. The Ranger has 240 hours on it.
I also gave him $500 cash to even the deal a little more. Did I get a good deal? I think I did. Troy
