#1 Re: General Polaris Ranger and Polaris RZR Discussions » Installing Polaris Lock & Ride Windshield Snap Clamps » 2009-04-02 05:36:23

I heard horror stories from both the dealer and friends regarding attaching the snap clamps to the windshield. I tried to do it by muscling it on but that wasn't possible. I found an easy way to attach them in a matter of minutes.

Take a Jorgensen 12 In. Adjustable Screw Clamp, which you can purchase for $20 bux at home depot, and place the snap clamp into its wood jaws. Screw on tight over the tube opening which gives you two advantages. First it opens up the snap clamp slot a little more and second gives you something to tap on with a hammer. Once you have the snap clamp secured in the jaws place the slot into place on the windshield and firmly tap the wooden clamp on the top and it goes on like nothing. It took me under 10 minutes to put all 5 clamps on the windshield. I did place the windshield onto a flat surface when installing the snap clamps.

Hope this helps anyone trying to install them and encountering problems like I did.
