im assuming this unit with the auto tune would work well with the elevation changes in utah
and other higher elevation changes.
compared to the msd unit right????

#6 Re: Yamaha Rhino Performance Mods » bored throttle body results » 2009-11-08 10:23:10

throttle body bore results
OK guys here's what I have done I ran time tests on the rhino before replacing the throttle body and after installing the bored throttle body
here's some info on the test...air temp 74degrees 0 wind speed quarter mile pass 9 psi in tires on black top two people in rhino approx weight 500 lbs I have done six passes to get a average time my rhino has muzzy exhaust raptor stage 2 cam mad box fix powersports sheave terracross 25" tires full windshield roof and spare tire mounted to cage

before throttle body bore
0 to 40 0 to 60 mph
1 6.44 21.98 58
2 6.39 21.87 58
3 6.40 21.92 58
4 6.60 22.19 58
5 6.37 21.84 58
6 6.48 22.05 58

after throttle body bore
0 to 40 0 to 60 mph
1 5.10 20.48 61
2 5.06 20.44 61
3 4.99 20.36 61
4 5.03 20.42 61
5 5.19 20.50 61
6 4.96 20.33 61

i know some don't believe in time tests but that all i have to go by.......
if you look at the numbers you can see i picked up over 1 full second in the 0 to 40 time but i killed the 0 to 60 time because the place i ran my time has a uphill climb at the end.. Kenny believes you can get 2 to 4 more hp with just this mod... for less then $200.00 this is one of the best mods i have done..
i want to thank Kenny at kds racing for the great job on the throttle body and all the help if you need horse power Kenny's the man!!!

[font=Tahoma:bf274ebd78] [/font:bf274ebd78]if you plan on going on with other mods besides just a sheave get a msd unit it has lots of adjustability in it you will need it to tune as you add exhaust / cam /  piston ect  big_smile
