Thanks,
I hadn't heard of cleaning and inspecting the TPS sensors and the tbap/tmap. I'll check into it and clean them up. All part of my intentions to start with as clean of a slate as possible. My dealer (my neighbor) did verify they can do the leak down test as well as the compression tests when I bring it in for the bulletins and recalls. He's been real good on this project, major help with identifying probs and diagnostics.
Many Thanks,

Hey fellas thanks for reading and posting,
I just bought a 2nd hand rzr dated 5.27.07. Bought it in a pre-divorce liquidation. My questions are: A) What do I have? B) Where should my compression be at this point in my rzr's life? C) What probs do I look for now? D) What probs should I be on the watch for (tell tale signs of major probs?) E) What generation rzr is it? F) Any probs with a UMP air chamber with Donaldson elements? I have one on order now.
I'll give the info I have on the rzr at present:
Bought the rzr for $4500. I put new camo skin on it in its first night home (bought new camo pull off skins.) 105 hours @ 1500 miles for avg of just over 14mph over life. Previous owner claimed he did a ton of blacktop road riding and a bit of rock climbing. The factory skid needs replacing. The previous owner says he may have had 20+ hours at Barnwell mountain rock climbing, but there were alot of beer breaks in there. He detested mud riding, only been in the mud a couple times. It had 4 open recalls, the air box issue being the most pressing, however he says it went in for recalls and they may not have been logged by the dealer. It has had a K&N on it most of its life. It has been on each side once. He claimed he did oil changes at 25 hrs. It seems to have been greased very regularly and suspension seems to be smooth and properly operating. My guesstimation is that the previous owner was regular or better on maintenance, but wasn't really into his machine that much. I'm at $5500 with the new ump on the way, should i consider cutting my losses, sell, and regroup for a new RZR?
Thank you for your time, EasTTeX
