What’s up everyone! I wanted to drop by and fill everyone in on this year Haunted Forest Ride, which is slated for Oct 19-21 at Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park just east of Pineville, KY. The event has grown tremendously, with approximately 5,000 people at last year’s event. This year, we’re blowing the doors off this thing with an epicly huge event that everyone can enjoy. Brian Fisher of Fisher’s ATV World is back again to hang out with fans and get lots of amazing footage for his show on the Outdoor Channel. This year’s event will feature a huge concert that will rock the crowd with a heavy dose of country swag by country music star Colt Ford. The concert is optional and tickets (in form of wristbands) will also serve as a VIP access to the Haunted Trail: people who have them will be able to go through the trail first. Plus, we just got a grant from Yamaha to make tons of killer new wooded trails all over Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park this summer and we will be making their official grand opening at the event.

The Holler Crawlers have been working and planning for months about this year’s event, and we are confident it’s going to blow everyone away. We have a ton of things slated for the event; including past favorites such as live music, kid’s event area, rock crawling demos, vendors row, ATV costume contest, ATV Prize Raffle, guided ATV rides, and of course the Haunted ATV Trail with all new scenes(Saturday only). Plus, we will have new features such as the grand opening of lots of new wooded trails, mud drags, a ghost walking tour, and two world record attempts: Most ATVs in a Parade and Most UTVs in a Parade.

To break these records we need all hands on deck. Invite your friends, family, even that crazy uncle you normally don't like to be seen in public with. We want all clubs to band together to help break this record and we plan on honoring all clubs and all people who participate in helping us bring the records back to Kentucky and Appalachia. If we are successful in the record attempts, we will have a sign erected at the main trail head to commemorate every club and every individual who participated. Clubs who bring 5-9 people will have their logo near the bottom of the sign, clubs with 10-19 members who participate will get a medium size logo in the middle, and clubs who bring 20 or more get a large logo at the top of the sign. Underneath the logos we will have the names of every participant for both records. This is our way of saying that its not just about our club; this record is about all our friends in other clubs and saying thanks to them and to everyone who came and participated. Please come and wear your club shirts to the event. We plan on getting many aerial videos and photos that will be seen on the Outdoor Channel and in national publications.

Coolest part: event is free of charge, as is riding on Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park. The only features of the event that cost are the concert, and purchasing raffle tickets for the ATV prize raffle. More info at http://www.hollercrawlers.com/events

Hope to see everyone down here in Bell County, KY on Oct 19-21!

Thanks guys and gals.

Howdy everyone.

Wanted to swing by and invite ya’ll to the 3rd Annual Holler Crawler Haunted Forest Ride, which will take place on Saturday, October 22nd at the Hwy 119 Trailhead of Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park in Bell County, KY.

The Haunted Forest Ride combines two of our favorite things…four-wheelers and Halloween…and forges them into one awesome event for the entire family!!! Last year we had around 1,500 people check out the event and got rave reviews, but this year we are aiming to blow last years event out of the water!

This year, the event will be attended by ATV Celebrity Brian Fisher as part of the Keepin’ It Real 2011 Tour. Brian and crew will be on hand all day to check out the trails at Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park, hang out with the fans, and of course, try to survive the Haunted Trail! He will be filming for an upcoming episode of Fisher’s ATV World on the Outdoor Channel.

The event this year will feature food vendors, a much improved kids event area with inflatables and more games, live music from Joe Coe and the Realbillies, rock crawling demos at the new rock garden, an ATV costume contest, a prize raffle, a poker run and scavenger hunt hosted by the Bell-Whitley Community Action Agency, and of course the Haunted ATV Trail which will feature all new scenes and decorations!!!

Best of all? The event and riding area are totally FREE OF CHARGE! That’s right, there’s never any cost for any Holler Crawler events and there is no fee to ride the 9,000 acre Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park.

This is the best time of the year to ride our area, and this is the one ATV event of the year that you do not want to miss! Hope to see ya’ll on October 22nd in Bell County.

We hope that you and yours can plan spending the Saturday before Halloween getting your pants scared off down here in Bell County, KY!

The 2nd Annual Haunted Forest Ride will begin on the Bridge to Nowhere on Highway 119 just east of Pineville, KY on Saturday, October 23rd. We encourage people to get there around 5:00 PM for some free food and information. At 6:00 PM we will hold the ATV and prize raffle drawing. The Haunted Trail will open at sundown. There is a rain delay date of Saturday, Oct 30th in the case of severe and heavy storms (which is unlikely during this time of the year, but just in case!). This year we plan on doing the ride much bigger and better than last year. We got quite a few compliments on the ride last year, and this year we have a larger budget and hopefully many more volunteers. We will have t-shirts available with a logo similar to the one above. If you own a business and would like to become a sponsor of the ride and get your business name on the back of the shirt, contact us through our email at hollercrawlers@hotmail.com

If you would like to volunteer for this event, just drop an email (hollercrawlers@hotmail.com) and let us know. If you'd like for you and your friends to set up a section of trail to decorate and have your own segment of the Haunted Trail, our event planning committee would be glad to hear your ideas and get you involved.

Also we can always use people to help direct traffic, set up decorations, and make props for the trail as well. If you can help in these areas, it will help us accommodate everyone. Last year in our first annual ride we had over 300 riders check the Haunted Forest out and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. Well this year will be much bigger and better and we hope to draw double what we did last year. In order to do this we really need folks to chip in and help make this an event to remember and something that draws a lot of folks to our county. So again – your help is greatly appreciated.

This year there will also be a few guided tours earlier in the day. Late October in Bell County is usually a great time for fall weather enthusiasts to get out and get some great pictures of the changing leaves, and riders will have some spectacular fall color views with the Cumberland Mountain right before them. The club will also have free maps to hand out earlier in the day to anyone who wants to ride some trails on their own before the Haunted Trail opens.

We also plan on again having a bonfire and some food afterwards. We will probably roast and cook hot dogs and have marsh mellows and hot chocolate for everyone as well…it will be a great time for the whole family.

The biggest news of the event will be that we will be drawing for an ATV and Prize Raffle during the ride! The Holler Crawlers are joining forces with the Pineville Rotary club to give away a new 2009 Honda 420 Rancher FI 4WD and a 6'16' dual axle trailer to go along with it! Second place will get a new 2009 70CC Honda dirt bike! Third place is a 3000 lb winch, and 4th place is a nice ATV hard storage box for your bike! Some pretty sweet prizes if I do say so myself. Tickets for the prize drawings are only $25. They are going really fast and are in limited supply, so get yours fast! There is no entry fee for the Haunted Forest Ride, just as all our other rides (minus benefit rides and even then there are no set amounts for donation), but to enter the prize giveaway, the tickets are $25. There is no entry fee to ride on the ATV Park either, so just look at this as spending a portion of what you'd normally pay to ride somewhere, but in this case you could walk away with a brand new ATV and 16' trailer or some other awesome prizes!

For tickets and info on the raffle, call Curt at 606-499-5715 or Jon at 606-499-0567. You can also email us at hollercrawlers@hotmail.com and visit www.hollercrawlers.com for more information on the ride and raffle as well. Again, I want to stress to get your tickets soon because we are selling them pretty quickly and there is a limited supply.

If you would like to see a video from last years ride, check out the link below!

To be honest…this year will be much scarier. Might be a good idea to bring a change of britches to this one…

Again for more info, check out www.hollercrawlers.com or email us at hollercrawlers@hotmail.com

Hope to see everyone there!
