Here are some more recent pics of another cage I just finished. I sold this one for $595. Let me know what you think.
Well first off, let me say thanks for the positive feedback.
Now, to be honest with you, I have not done any sort of structural testing with these cages. That being said, I believe that 9 times out of 10, the after market cages for side x sides are significantly stronger than the stock cages. In fact, in most cases the after market cages are stronger than the frames that they bolt to. It is quite easy to over engineer these cages for the side x side applications. The most important things to look for are quality welds and proper bracing. In fact, the standard cage shown above is actually incomplete, there will be additional corner bracing added.
I built this cage for a friend of mine because its something I like to do, not a business of mine. However, after some of the feedback I have received from friends and people passing by, I thought others might be interested as well.
Here are my prices as of right now:
Standard cage $495
Pre-Runner style cage $595
Optional roof $150
I think you will find these prices to be significantly less than others on the market.
Thank you.
Hello, I am new to this forum and I'm looking for some feedback. I am designing some sport cages for the new Polaris RZR's and would really like to get your thoughts.
The two pictured here (Standard and Pre-Runner style) are 90% complete, still need to add the roof, thus the reason for the dropped windshield bar/ visor. Without the roof option, I will be raising the windshield bar/ visor will be level with the top of the cage.
Material used: 1 3/4 and 1 1/2 .095.
