Thanks for the feedback! I did not realize they weren't running a bolt all the way through. I will ask them to do it the same, or temp it in and I will do it myself. Their concern was having the plastic between the plate and the steel tube would somehow weaken it. If bolt doesn't run all the way through it probably would.

Got Sand-  Thanks for the pics. of your door installation.  It was very timely for me.  I was to take mine in the next day to have them installed.  I took pics. with me.  The service guy didn't think it  was possible since the sliding latch had to have  room to slide.  I told him to just do what ever they had to do.  When I picked it up, they had done the install without any cutting and even left the Yamaha template under the latch in case I wanted to cut it out later.  I was very surprised that they would make an effort to do it as I asked.  Thanks again for the pics.  That is what makes this a great site.
