What you need to do before the turbo is a ported head and cam along with a bored throttle body, also the EFI tuner and exhaust then i would do the turbo. and then watch out everyone    wink.

Do you know who does those types of mods?  Or which tuner is the best?  And why would I want to spend money on an exhaust if I am going to get a turbo that replaces the exhaust?  I am definitely interested in go fast goodies but I don't want to be throwing my money away.

Back on Topic BORE:

I like the idea of bored throttle body and ported heads because once I put a turbo on I will not be able to race the same class.  They require naturally aspirated machines.

Looks awesome Ben! It's only money  wink  Did you sell the Rhino? Rode with you briefly at Sand Hollow about 2 years ago. You had a Long Travel Rhino and pregnant wife  big_smile

Oh yeah the Rhino was sold.  If you remember I blew a belt out at Sand Hollow and later that week broke an A-Arm.  I was tired of putting money in to that Rhino.  The RZR is way more fun.  Now I just need a Turbo.  Wife is not pregnant anymore.  At least I don't think so.

Your S looks nice.

Please don't ask questions like "what do you have into it?"  That would be a little scary to know.  I can tell you I have don nothing to the engine and suspension and not had any issues.  I change the oil often and oil and lube all joints regularly.  And I have never had any mechanical issues other than a blown fuse because of my new HID's and LED's.  The cage was expensive (RacerTech), the seats were expensive (UTV Crap), the wheels were expensive  (UTV Crap), The Seat Belts were expensive (UTV Crap).  Other than those items just a stock RZRS.

My wife has a race that weekend or I would be there.  I was the only out at the Knolls Race.  Needless to say I won.  My machine loves to hit whoops at high speed.  Is there really no one interested?  If we could get a good turnout I might just ditch out on my wife's race and come out and play with you guys.

#5 Re: Yamaha Rhino Performance Mods » Snowmobile Clutch??? anyone » 2008-12-05 16:43:37

I have had the DFR Snow Mobile Clutch on my rhino and wow it is way faster.  It starts out faster and it accelerates faster and it has a higher top speed.  Can it hang with the RZR?  Barely and you will be long in there dust before you get to your top speed. They are just a lot lighter and quicker.

Mine is not installed at the moment.  It sucks for crawling at Moab.  So yes it is faster but if you do slow low speed crawling you will not be happy with it.

As you can see form the pictures the bed is removable by pulling to pins and unpluging the wiring harness to save tons of weight.  Or you can keep it installed and throw in the back bench seat to make it a four seater for the family.
