Thanks, i have been checking all my options, and hoping to find a deal i can swing soon.
Some guys i know used to race for kymco, and they say the kymco uxv 500 side x side is a good trail runner, but not a good racer, and that they are priced really well. That i can believe, but has anyone heard anything else about the reliability, or parts availability? We have a big honda dealer about an hour from here that sells them, but i'd like to have some more input befor i deal with a sales man's line of bull. Dirt tracks tv show liked it, and the honda dealer has them for $6799 brand new, but i'm really not sure, all i need is something that isn't bigger than my ford explorer , that i can take on trail rides, and do some yard work, or haul a deer out with. I know it's not one of the big brands, but i'm still against spending $10,000 or more on something thats going to spend all it's time in the trees, dirt, and mud. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
I was thinking of getting a rhino for woods riding, then i finally got to drive a rzr, and i was hooked.
The gncc utv race was stopped at the 2 lap board on saturday, because they almost couldn't make it around the course. Then the bike race was canceled today, because of weather, is indiana still there?
I will be posting pictures from round 1 as soon as i can. They had a great race, with a rzr and a comander going back and forth for the lead the whole race, there were 5 rzr's, 1 comander, 1 rzr 4, and a highly modified rzr with a 130 hp sled motor ande a turbo, that was great on the start and the first lap, with a hugh jump into a mud hole on the second lap that i missed with the camera, but i think his 72" rear width was giving him problems in the tight stuff. I'm not sure who won because i had to leave befor the checkers, so i will post the results as soon as they are released.
I can find one of those alot cheaper than i can a good side x side, maybe thats what i should get.

Hey skeeter, the AWRCS series has 2 utv races in templeton this year, one is on april 2, the other one is july 2, if you want to go let me know and i'll meet you there.
The first grand national cross country utv race of the year is march 12 at Aonia Pass Georgia, the race starts at 4:30 pm, but be there at least acouple hours early to register if you want to race. It's a big race, and registration takes awhile so leave lots of time.
On youtube type in gncc utv racing, thats the best way to see it.
Are these rules normal for utv racing, or do you think they are trying to keep weekend warriors out so it looks better on TV?
