Have not done it ourselves yet, but do know of at least one who has. Steel Horses has done this for a customer. I've seen some pictures and video.

Anyways, as far as the noise, as long as its not really loud it should be ok. there is some play there and you will get some noise like a little click or rub maybe. I don't know that there is anything to adjust to get rid of it.
Is the the only time you hear the noise? Is your foot on the brake?
Really shouldn't be a brake issue, unless the disc is warped or shaft is bent, but then you should hear the noise more often.
If you apply power while going down a hill does the noise go away?
Most guys have been able to adjust screw settings with just the exhaust. You may want to jet up 1 size on the main, and in some cases go up 1 on the pilot.
