I think honda has a sport model in the works. I have posted up a concept of it. We will see...
Just got back from "mini-sin city" and had a blast! On the way down looking at all the rock trails and stuff along the way really got me excited for Moab. I cant wait!!!
The trail ride list sounds good so far Dave. Im doing a little research into the trails that we have not done yet. I dont want to miss any of the good ones!!!
Hey Chris, ya got any inside scoop for us on what is going to take place for next years rally?
I am very interested in how that speaker bar sounds. I have been eying it for a while now. Be sure and give a report on it.
As far as mounts go I will get another forum member to chime in on what he has that works really good.
There is no need to install any kind of back plate or anything. The plastic is not what holds it. It mounts to the same square tube that it would mount to cutting the big hole. The only thing I did different was I drilled all the way through the tube so I could run a bolt all the way through with a washer and lock nut on the end. This is much stronger than using the self threading bolts that come with the door kit. ![]()
I cant wait till these hit the public.
Be sure and give us a report puddle jumper! What price do they have you locked in at?
One of the other forum members had his doors put on at Escape and requested that they do not cut the hole in the side. They would not let him take the doors but they worked with him and didnt cut the hole. He said that they might start doing them that way from now on. Check with Escape Brad.
Welcome Joe! Be sure and let us all know what you plan on doing to your Rhino. Post up some pictures if you get a chance ![]()
What brand and style did you go with? Do you like the fit, etc?
They also have this D3 Restraint. It is 40 more bucks than the ones above. They say this about it:
"Simpson is proud to introduce one of the biggest innovations in restraint technology since the buckle. Built to meet SFI Safety standards, the D3 provides the ease and convenience of a sewn in harness without the harness being sewn in to the lap belt. Its unique design eliminates two links but still allows the shoulder harness to be joined closely together at the buckle emulating a five point latch and link system"

This is what I am looking at at this point. Simpson Racing...
What are your opinions on styles---->

What is Unleashed UTV?
Well I got the doors put on. It would take about an hour if you dont have to search all over your messy garage for the right drill bits like I did. :x You do not have to cut the big hole in the side like Yamaha suggests it to be done. You do however have to slightly bend the bracket out. I spent a little extra time making everything so it had no rattles coming from the doors. Did a test drive and not a sound comes from them.
I would highly suggest that when you take your rhino to a dealer if they will not let you install them yourself have them not cut out the hole. The latch fits great between the bracket and the plastic helping to keep your door tight. I had to give the dealer my vin number and info for them to put in their system. They keep track so that only one set of doors goes to each vin number.
Looking at getting a 5 point harness setup for my rhino before we head off on our Moab trip in October. I know I want something with pads built in and something very comfortable. What do you all suggest to go with and why?
Thanks!
