Re: Sure would like to plan a trip to the Piaute Trail in Utah

kid has UEA that weekend. Karen has some vacation still coming so we need to use it. Thusday would work for us and get two rides in. I have the whole family so I can't be doing anything wild or I will get fired  or fired at!

It has been work, work, work and I am ready for a break. come home and leave to the southern Carribean after that. Good plan?

Re: Sure would like to plan a trip to the Piaute Trail in Utah

You're right.........the more the merrier!  And i'm up to it!!!  (will check with the Mrs first to ensure she has nothing else planned) Where do you generally go/stay?   I'd probably get there on a Thursday afternoon.   Will mention it to my neighbor who recently purchased a Rhino.   He's new to riding and maybe he'd like to drive on something other then the street:)   So we're lookin from the 16th to the 19th of October?

Another question....in regards to where you folks generally stay and the trails you run.  i know at Archview, one can ride out from camp.   If that's where you're staying, i would be taking the motor home and trailer.  If you generally trailer the UTV's to the trailheads, then i'd drive the Ex and trailer and be renting a room or cabin.

another thing (if you want more ppl) you might consider is giving a "heads up" in the Utility off Road forum or the prc forum about this mayhem.  there`s  a few in each that would probably like to ride as well.

 Better not bring my pistol  wink We will leave the women and children by the side of the obstacle  big_smile

Sorry you can't make it sardawg!

I will drive down Thursday evening Oct. 16th, ride Friday and Sat and head home Sunday. Stay at a motel/hotel/condo and trailer to trailheads. Ryan, you dragging the Raptor or hoteling it? I am not sure we can drive UTV's to some of my favorites (Poison Spider, Hells Revenge and Fins and Things) Jared wants to go (would Ruth go too Jared?), but I am not sure if the rest of the crew can make it (Dave, Josh and Martin - c'mon guys  roll )

smokem - if you want to post something on the other forums that is great - I am not registered there.

I will post up what I find about accomidations...

Brad,
Go ahead and look into a condo deal. There would be four of my part and we can make them use sleeping bags if we need to. lol

Mark you calendar, September 28th on the Paiute was absolute peak of perfection for riding.
Colors were almost fluorescent  and the weather was great.

You will be seeing articles in both Side X Side Action and UTV Offroad of the Paiute soon.
