REGARDING ME AND A REALY GOOD FRIEND,

On November 20th just before our departure to our turkey fest camping trip I had found my very special friend that I cared about very much and is one of the reasons that I have been on the computer on this site helping others was found poisoned in my neighbors yard as we were looking for him to put in the garage for our trip, It made the trip very hard to go on and almost did not go but forced my self, he always sat on the computer table keeping me company as i looked at what i needed to do on this site and answer questions if I had the answers, He was my cat "Dusty" but he was not just a cat but a best friend and in a way my son that i never had, his personality was part cat and part dog and part human in his behaviour and it has been a little hard since then to deal with questions or reading things on this site since he has been gone and i have had no real interest in looking at this computer since then, this is the main reason i have been slow in responses and have not been active here much since then, it has been hard and want to let people know this, this is a great site and till i can get over the loss it will be touch and go for me, sometimes i wished i lived in Utah to do the great rides with you but it is to fare, I did enjoy reading about moab and all the motivation and fun there .

My heart goes out to you Dale :cry: I have a special place in my heart for my cats. They hang out with me while I am on the computer - photo is them on a futon behind my chair. Cats have a unique personality and bond differently. I know what you mean about Dusty - our Jinx has very similar traits. Max is very demanding but appreciative, Axel is still a teenager but already a unique personality. Why 3? Wife decided 2 kept each other company, 3 give 1 a break occasionally and besides 3 make a "herd"

Axel replaces our old guy "Blackjack" who died late last year (old age). Broke my heart to put him down, but it had to be done. I know that is different than having some asshole poison him, but we were buds and it still hurt. I would encourage you to get another cat, but maybe you should move first
I enjoy reading your posts - almost as much as the Polaris guys you are helping -and hope you will continue!

Thank you guys for the fine comments, here is a picture of him and Badley, it is funny that your cats are black too because Dusty was black also with white whiskers, I do have another cat that we now keep inside that is also black and her name is shadow, she is way more independent then Dusty and we are not as close the way me and Dusty were , I still love her the same, the problem now is that two other cats that i have seen hanging around the area have not been seen since, It may be time to start kicking down a few doors in the area.

I really hate to hear that. I know exactly how you feel. I lost my "son" 3 years ago. He was with me for 18 years. Through thick and thin. He has a very nice maintained grave under the Magnolia tree in the back yard. Chester was a good companion. Better friend then most people. And acted more like a person then alot of people. I still think about having him cloned.

Thank you full auto 45 for the kind words, today has been a been month since his death and i have a picture in my garage that i was looking at today that brought tears to my eyes remembering the loss of him, it just has not been the same around here since, he died to early in life and left me to soon, not by his choice, I am still looking for who, I will forever miss him, cats are very special and lots of people do not understand the bond that they will give to there very special owners, he was my up when i felt down !, God bless chester and dusty, that is all i have to say and thank you again....

I gave it a lot of thought but decided to do my 300th post in honor of my cat dusty, I still see you in the yard out of the corner of my eye and then I look and you are not there, I think of you daily and the pictures around the house remind me of the good times we had. You will always be missed.

Sorry to hear about ur cat I know how it is to miss a cat that has been around for a long time.

You should contact the ASPCA and let them know someone is killing cats, they are the FBI for animals and will get police to help catch these people. I know they are based in NY but im shure they can help. http://www.aspca.org/about-us/contact-us.html

It will be a year in November and we do have our suspicions on who did it but no hard prof. We had a neighbor that is a L.A. county sheriff that we talked to about what happened and he said he would do a little looking around but nothing came out of it and there is still no direction to go on. My other so called friend or neighbor who knows the people involved much better then we do was going to confront them on this but at the end I guess he chose not too and decided not get involved. I do think he knows more then he has let on about what happened and maybe he did talk to them but he is not telling me anything, I think he is hoping it will blow over. As of now I am not as friendly with that neighbor as i was in the past due to this issue and over a few other issues over the years he has caused. He has been somewhat of a problem in the past. As for the suspected cat killers, there has not been any more since a few weeks after Dusty's death and we may never know the whole truth. I just know that i will never forget who did it and the people that did not help......... :!: .
