Morning.
This fall I replaced my golf cart with a 2004 Ranger TM, a demonstrator at the local dealer's. All has gone well until this morning, a crisp Ontario winter day, and the Ranger won't shift. The cable's frozen solid. I've had this happen on golf carts, but sorta figured that Rangers would be engineered for cold weather.
Any suggestions?

Sorry Rod, can't help you. All I can figure is spray some wd40 down the cable to displace the water inside of it.
Anyway, your page looks good. I have an interest in woodworking to and once was a hobby, now an income so it is not much fun anymore.

I would try a good synthetic dry lubricant like superlube on the cables, also i would change out the gear case fluid and use the royal purple max ATF in the transmission , it being a real true PAO base stock synthetic oil it will flow good at very cold temperatures, I am not sure on this but if you could put some small pipe insulation around the cables it may help also. here is the site for superlube below.
