I skimmed over this forum and haven't seen anyone post on this yet sorry to beat a dead horse if someone has. I'm sure most of you have realized that the stock battery sucks. :?: If you have replaced yours, was wondering what brand/size. Also has there been any problems with the charging systems? I thought the RZR could handle a decent amount of load as I frequently see RZRs with bunches of lights on them. Do you need to purchase a bigger alternator to have lights other than stock? I added two 55watts to the brush guard of mine and I got a low batt indication after about 10min of riding. I figured it was the battery as it doesn't really hold a charge to well. I haven't got around to testing leads to the battery for power but I'm pretty sure the problem isn't the alternator. Also this might be a stupid question but does polaris warranty the battery at all? Intrested what you guys have found....

If the battery is real low or it is bad the draw of turning on the extra 110 watts will fake a charging light to come on, the 700 and 800 have a 500 watt stator and it is only at peak wattage at driving speed, the rzr has a much smaller battery then the ranger xp's, 18 amp hours compared to 30 amp hours that the ranger xp has, everyone except me has been changing over to the battery made by Odyssey, it is a dry cell battery with 360 cca compared to 300 cca that the stock RZR battery has, from what another site says that it drops in the stock battery box, it may need a minor modification to the box, it is Odyssey part number 925L per the other site for the RZR and it is not cheap, for my Ranger Xp i use the stock battery and a Rzr stock battery for my Aux battery in a custom holder i made that is under the hood on the right side, I have never had any problems and it runs 2 1/2 sets of 55 watt lights along with the stock head lights, I do make sure that it is plugged into a battery tender after every trip like the one made by deltran made for 2 batteries, as for the warranty it is 90 days free replacement for the stock battery and i have heard nothing about Polaris Rzr charging problems except people moveing the voltage regulator to the front on Gen 1 and Gen 2 Rzrs to keep them cooler like they did on the Gen 3 models.
