Re: New Seating

Here are some photos of the new cage extension/top, seating and harnesses I added to my Rhino. Now my son and his wife and boys can tag along  big_smile Ordered everything from Ruthless Motorports (thanks again Jared  big_smile ) Twisted Stitch really came through for me. They got the order to me just in time. The seat covers, bench and booster seat look great are very nice quality. Simpson Harnesses - 2x3 front and 2x2 back.

Seat covers were a little tough to get on, but they really fit nice and even from the back and underneath look like new seats.

FYI Here is my trailer. Thought you might like to see it. Bought a 7x7x24' all aluminum - 2500/lbs-my 1/2 ton tows it well. It was unfinished interior, I ended up finishing with tile board, added vents, fuel doors and epoxy floor paint.

Re: New Seating

How does that trailer tow?  I ask because it looks like your axels are very close to the middle of the trailer. Sometimes that effects how they behave. I had a teryx and a rhino on my 18 foot car hauler (yes, it was a tight fit) today and at 65mph it got a little fish taily   on rough roads. My Titan had plenty of go power to pull it but felt a little light when it fish tailed. Im use to the trailer being behind my GMC 3500 dump truck not a 1/2 ton pick-up.  lol

Re: New Seating

Triton trailer is awesome. I would not have bought it if the price wasn't great (retail $14k was damaged in shipment and repaired - $8k), but I am glad I did. All Aluminum - 2500lbs empty. It has a 7'x7'x24' box (+V nose) and so I am able to move machines forward for perfect tongue weight. 1/2 ton tows it good, could use little more power fully loaded. I used to have a Titan extended cab and I think it would tow it a little better than the F150. I have towed in very strong cross winds - both empty and loaded - thought the height and length would be a problem, but I could not be more comfortable at 75 mph. BTW I added air bag springs on the rear of the F150. I was originally going to buy a car hauler trailer, very glad I bought this one since my tow vehicle is 1/2 ton.

Re: New Seating

Yeah I got my car hauler to tow my skid-steer behind my dump truck it is a tilt bed trailer so it works great for small equipment and weight was not a problem for a 1 ton truck. The trailer is 3700lbs empty. The teryx was on front and the rhino was on the rear but if I loaded them the other way around the rhino was not heavy enuf the make the trailer tilt back down.  with both machines on I only had about a foot of play to adjust my tongue weight.
It only fish-tailed on rough roads or if there was really bad crown in the middle of the lane.

The best part was my cousin had two large ATVs in a trailer similar to yours but only 12 feet long and one small ATV in the bed of his 2008 Chevy (full size) so I know he had less weight than me and I passed him going up hill with out any problem. I was still picking up speed at the top of the hill.  When we got home he said he had it floored trying to stay ahead of me but the Chevy just didnt have it.  tongue  tongue   tongue   tongue

Re: New Seating

Sold the Rhino today  sad  (my little open trailer with it) Unbelievable how many people lined up for a chance at the Rhino - could have sold it 4 times in one day (full asking price). Now I am going to sell the Triton trailer  If anyone wants a shot at it let me know. Will be looking for smaller covered trailer for the RZR S.

Its a sad day at the Nate residence.   Its good to see it go and its hard to see it go at the same time. I have been there.

What kind of trailer are you looking into?

Re: New Seating

What are you replacing the Rhino with?  I've always loved my rhino and couldn't get rid of it.  Put a long arm kit on it and it is a different machine, can I say it out-performs my S on the rocks?!!!
What year was the rhino and what did it go for?

Not replacing it as of yet... my son was going to buy it (married 2 kids), I set it up for them. He lost his job, new job isn't paying as well  sad  I will miss the  Rhino, as will my grandsons (07' Sport - got $9500 + sold my 6x12 open trailer for $1000 with it). It was a great machine (except for carburation). I was ready to long travel it, but decided I would sell it while the market is good - sold it within 24 hrs, got asking price, and had 4 guys racing to buy it. Now I am thinking I should have asked more  roll If I get another machine it would likely be a rzr 4. Might just remain selfish and have the kid buy his own  wink
