Re: Need some help!!

My father has a 2004 Polaris TM Ranger with the Robbins engine.

Question is, we wonder if anyone has had problems like we have had with the carb not shutting off the fuel and filling up the crank?  We have taken the carb apart and found that the soleniod plunger that shuts off the fuel to the main jet keeps denting the main jet which allows fuel to seep by and over fill the carb which then leaks into the base.  We changed out the main jet and it worked fine for about 10hrs but now its doing it again.  Its a pain in the butt to keep replacing the main jet every 10 hrs or so, does anyone else ever hear of this and have a fix??

Thanks in advance!

Re: Need some help!!

What you have is a Nikki carburetor and all i can suggest is to replace the main jet along with a new solenoid and see what happens next. you are the first one i think that has asked a question on the TM model on this site and they are rare compared to the 500 and 700 models. Good luck and sorry i do not have more for you on this.
