Does anybody have a video camera mounted in their RZR? If so, what type and what type of camera do you use? i want to get some good video of some of the riding I do, you know woods, hills, mud, chasing furry animals that sort of stuff.

Re: RZR Video Camera Mounts

chasing furry animals that sort of stuff.

lol  I was riding the other day and came across the typical "pissed off", tree hugging, Subaru driving wacko's hoofing it. Politely pulled over and waited as they passed (plenty of time so they didn't eat any dust, or hurt their ears from engine noise) and gave them a friendly greeting... nothing in return except the typical "grumpy face"  I am pretty sure I picked up their Subway wrappers up the trail. So my thought is, I buy the POV and add cross hairs and make some really cool video... "chasing furry animals"   :x tongue lol

Video law enforcement security is one of the things i did professionally for LAPD and many other law enforcement agencies around southern California and i know some of the systems go for tens of thousands of dollars depending on the applications like the pips cars that use real time licence plate recognition cameras. But here are a few cheap systems that may work for your application. I have not personally used this product because we were doing the real high end stuff but noticed it in my catalog they send me.

http://www.scdlink.com/files/specs/DVR4000M.pdf

The 4 camera DVR will still need cameras but any 12 volt pencil camera will work or chip camera. I am not sure they will sell to you because you may need a security company account like i do but they are not as tuff on regulation and rules like some of my other accounts. they also have a lot more stuff and pricing and you can browse there site.

About three years ago we had passed some of those sierra club people and did the same thing you did. 10 minutes latter i had 3 flat tires due to the fact they spiked the trail, lucky for me i keep a spare tire, a plug kit and a compressor on board......

Re: RZR Video Camera Mounts

I have a nice JVC digital camcorder. Only problem is, after about 30 seconds of the RZR vibration, it shuts off. It's too much for the camera.
Piss.
I had built a real nice, and only cost about $5, mount. I may try my buddies camera. It is an older JVC with tapes. mine records direct to harddrive.

Re: RZR Video Camera Mounts

Id like to get my hands on a S.A.W but you need a license so I stick to rifles. I want the CheyTac 408. one step down from the 50cal.
Nothing like being able to hit a 1 inch target at a mile and a half. (its kinda like golf with more noise pollution lol )
