Re: Noob UTVr

I'm Ken from Bend Oregon. Well; I'll admit  it right off the bat. I am one of the people who bought a Joyner Trooper. It's an 07' T2 that frankly I really like (except for the monsterous weight) I've modded it a bit; but mostly just cosmetic stuff. Hope I can find some (not hostile) UTVrs around that will accept a dinosaur in their forum without too much razzing.  big_smile

We welcome all shapes and sizes (no matter how heavy) at SXS forum.

...huh, so that's what a Joyner looks like... I was beginning to think they were just a myth.  wink

Re: Noob UTVr

Thanks! Yeah; when I first saw the Trooper; I didn't like the looks of it. My Bro-in-law had a customised Rhino, and thats what I thought looked kinda cool. But he spent probably 12K aftermarket getting it looking and performing the way he wanted it. The Trooper came with lots of extras included; so from a price standpoint; I went for the Trooper. Other than the Joyner factory going out of business; I've never really regretted buying it. It will climb anythoing practically; and I can still out run stock Rhino's and early Razors. The Trooper had a VERY ugly engine cover/rear rack setup that was not even useful; so I cut it off and reinforced the roll cage. This year I will put on a King Shock upgrade and a chip that will give me some more horsepower. (hopefully)  big_smile

Re: Noob UTVr

My wife and I were just talking yesterday that we want to make a trip to Moab this year. I've been there once before, but didn't have my UTV yet. It's a truly AWESOME place! I'm blown away that the state of Utah is so off road "friendly" considering the beauty of the natural landscape. Nothing against Nevada and Arizona; but in those states there isn't much to ruin. The state of Oregon is very closed minded to off roaders unless you are in to sand. It's a 6 hour drive to the coast dunes, and almost 3 hours with 1 on a bad road to Christmas Valley. I was planning on selling my UTV this winter and get a sled instead because there is literally nothing but closed areas that will allow class 2 vehicles here. But then I picked up a new map and it seems there are some new areas opened up for class 2 close to where I live. Yippy!  big_smile

Re: Noob UTVr

For awhile I was trying to sell it to get a snowmobile; so I came up with this short video; only to find out that Craigslist won't let you link to YouTube. It's kinda goofy; but I was trying to sell it.
