I have a 2011 500 ranger. We bought a soft top for it and are finding that the exhaust fumes are very heavy inside the cab. My dog will not even ride in the front. Is this normal? Any suggestions?

My 05 does not have a soft top but when it is run in areas that do not have good ventilation the exhaust fumes can get pretty heavy. These things do not have hardly any smog equipment like a car has mainly the catalytic converters and would have much more fumes then they would. Would your soft top be a fully enclosed version or is it the open version :?: . If it is the enclosed version that would be the main problem and the real only thing that can be done is change the exhaust system so it is released farther away somehow......
As for catalytic converters, They are already on Lawn equipment and I am sure they will be forced on to ATVs and UTVs real soon unfortunately....
