Re: Best Wheel Spacing

New Rhino Owner here. I found a almost new 2008 Rhino 100 miles. It still is all stock, with the Maxxis and steel wheels.

I am going to use this machine on a farm for spraying, and general use; it will never be on a trail ride, only on the farm.

Problem 1: It had the sway bar modification, etc.  But I have several steep hills on the farm that I would like to cross traverse.  Up and down doesn't seem to be a problem; but going across the hill is a little un-nerving.  I mow with a rotary mower (brush hog) with a big 4x4 tractor and loaded rear 18.4x30 tires; and it sticks really good. Some added weight on the tractor also.

The Rhino doesn't feel as comforatble on that hill.

Problem 2: I also have some wet low ground that really never dries out.

What wheel spacing should I add with the stock steel wheels and Maxxis tire. Hey they are brand new, I might as well use them.  I was think maybe 1 1/2". all around

Again this machine will never be doing any jumps or rock crawling.

Also I don't want to put too much strain on the hubs.

Any suggestions?

Re: Best Wheel Spacing

I loved my Rhino around the farm! I used it a lot for play time as well.  big_smile  You take care of it and it will take care of you! I ran 2" all the way around on my Rhino the entire time I had it and never had any issues. 1 1/2" sounds like a great setup for you. Enjoy!
