The Utah 4wheel Drive Association is sponsoring a clean up with the BLM. This is a great opportunity to show the BLM we care. Here is the info:
All,
I spent Sunday at Little Sahara Sand Dunes with the BLM and they are very eager to work with us on this project and yearly projects.
For this year they need us to dismantle a fence......thats right, take down a fence. This requires the U4WDA members and our Trucks and or Jeeps and winches would be good also. If you are familiar with the area we will be removing wooden fence lines and the cross members from on top of the sand and also buried / semi buried fence line from behind the Jericho picnic / camping loop. They will reserve for us this entire loop and our entrance fee is of course waived. This fence line will be a challenge but it will be a new, FUN challenge because we will be in a sand shifting environment and there is quite a bit of fence line to remove.
Date: March 17 St. Pattys day
Place: Little Sahara Sand Dunes
Time: 9:00 until we are complete. (So we need ALOT of people.)
Fees: Waived for us volunteers for the day, I will need to give BLM a list of participants prior to this day.
Lunch: I am in talks with having BLM providing the main dish. (Or do we have a caterer we want to use ?)
More Fun: After the job is done we can play in the sand.
