Re: In the mountains

Here in Utah it is getting to matter whether it is a side x side or an atv. It is no longer designated as a width issue.

Re: In the mountains

most trails are marked with posts or large rocks placed at 50- 54" apart. They have started marking many of the trails with a "no side x side" decal due to the lenth of them. Until the trail is marked to stop me I will continue to go on them.
I would like to see some handicap person fight for their ADA rights to access trails, it would highly effect the Sierra and other tree hugger groups. :?:

Re: In the mountains

Thank you,  those are some great pics. So would you guys say that you could go eny where a 4x4 4 wheeler could go with the exception of the width?

And do you know if the rzr has a back seat opt.?

Re: In the mountains

We all have our advantages and disadvantages. I feel more comfortable in a side x, I can move more snow plowing than the largest atv 4x, and with the rear seat of a rhino you can tote 4 or 5 people too. I would consider having a atv for those atv only trails, one reason I will not part for a while with my two Honda sportstrax's. Only thing that would add to the side x would be being steet legal everywhere.

Re: In the mountains

There is no back seat option for the RZR.

Re: In the mountains

Badley, Great pictures up American Fork Canyon.  I live near the mouth of the canyon in highland and ride up there a lot.  I haven't taken the Crew up there yet, just the 4 wheelers.  I'm looking forward to this spring/summer to ride up there.

Where are the pictures on the first link.  Are they above the mines on the way to snowbird?

Re: In the mountains

Cosmo - the first 8 photos are above Silver Lake. The next 4 are trail to Mineral Basin (the last 1 in that group is on the opposite ridge above Silver Lake) as well as the last group of photos. Mineral Basin is above the mines where the trail ends at Snowbird (last photo). We love riding in the canyon!
