On weekends I ride in the Sonoita area between I-10 and Sonoita on Hwy 83, or up in back of the Huachuca Mts, Patagonia, Benson, etc.
I also make about 8-10 trips a year for 7-10 days at a time. On these trips I go with others to Quartzite, Munds Park x 2, Eagar, Jacob Lake, Florence, Crown King, Williams.

New to the 4X4 group, but I wanted to get the scoop on SXS and riding areas in FLorida, so I joined the forum.
I just purchased--and I hate to say it a Chineese knock off made by Xinyang. This 500cc model was within my budget and it will double as a trail machine and a farm worker.
I am not sure how it will hold up, but I have all of the tools to effect repairs when needed.

InspectorGadget, keep us posted on your experience with the Xinyang. I haven't seen nor heard much about this machine. Welcome to the forum!

That question is going to be hard to get a good answer for, its a tug of war here. They are both great machines and it depends on what you are going to do with it. Trail ride, flat open ground, hunt, fish, haul extra gear, crash through the woods, mud, rock crawl, speed, work and the list goes on.
At some point I would like to get a RZR my self, but I love my Rhino and plan on running it into the ground or untill there are no more parts left in the world to fix it. If you like them both the same then my best advice is to flip a coin. As far as the 2010 RZR haveing trouble I dont know anything about it but Im sure its nothing polaris cant fix, from what I hear and read RZR has been a good dependable machine with no more problems than the rest of the side x side world.
Good luck with your choice and let us know what you end up with.

it would mostly be open ground(dunes), some trail riding, speed, and a little mudding occasionally. i live in california so the mud wouldnt be too often.

Id say get a RZR then. If you have questions about problems with the 2010 ask about them in the Polaris section of this forum.

Welcome to the forum sytfu.delinquent and titan has pretty much nailed it on the head. Remember most of the issues you have heard about the rzr was on the gen 1 versions back in 2007 and 2008 and most of the problems have been fixed on the 2010 models. Great photo also Titan .
