Re: Moab Tire Pressure

Going to Moab for the first time for the April UTV Rally.  I've got Maxxis Big Horns and want to know a recommended tire pressure to run?

Thanks

Re: Moab Tire Pressure

Keep this in mind-  The more psi you have in them the greater the ground clearance. Now you dont want them hard as a rock but side x sides do not have the weight needed to get the full benefit of running a really low psi like a lot of the rock crawling rigs do. Runing tires to hard keeps the tire from flexing as well and I like a certain amount of flex. For me the more ground clearance I can gain the better but still keep a happy medium. What the posts above mention is a great place to start though.  big_smile

Re: Moab Tire Pressure

I run Bighorns on both Rhino and RZR S - I like to run 7 lbs in Moab. Bighorns get great traction on the slickrock, I like to run a little more preasure to prevent breaking a bead to tight spots. I run 4-5 lbs in sand and usually 10 lbs on hard pack trails.

Re: Moab Tire Pressure

I've been told 4-5 for sand, I also run 10 on hard pack.  I think "7" was my initial guess...thanks for responding.
