Just curious, what about if you flipped the bracket over so the bottom side of the L is going up, and then used the top hole on the bung connection? Woul that still interfear with hood?

I mounted it the way i did because i have a flip up window on the front that i still wanted to open. I think it could be mounted on the second bolt up and it would leave more room for the hood to open but wouldnt work in my case.
