Re: 2010 Polaris 400 ranger

big_smile  Just got a 2010 ranger 400 4x4 I live in north east pa and we are getting our first snow storm of the year what great timing to check out the new machine. I put the top, doors and windshied on and now its time to play........this thing is great goes anywhere there is about 4- 5 inches of now and this thing dosent even dosent even think about getting stuck.....Throught the woods it handles great ride is teriffic ten times better than any quad that I have ever riden and it will climb about anything and it has amazing power for a 400.and excelent take off no slug here well worth the investment.........just have to wait for the plow to come in......

Re: 2010 Polaris 400 ranger

Welcome to the forum Harry.  Glad you're enjoying your Ranger! UTVs impress me all the all time; they'll go anywhere.

Are there some good riding trails in your neck of the woods?

Re: 2010 Polaris 400 ranger

I own about 15 acres to ride on mostly hilly and wooded I originaly purchasd ranger for doing work around house but its to much fun to only work. There are a couple of land associations that allow quads and side x side they have several hunderd acres to ride on.

Re: 2010 Polaris 400 ranger

big_smile Got the plow assembled and on that was actually very easy. The plow is a polaris glaicer II plow its really  slick it has a quick disconect the mounting frame dosent hang down to get hung up it also has adjustiable limit switch ot keep the wench from raising the plow to high. Now just waitin on the snow...............

These are the mounting brackets and plow. We only got about 2 inches of snow not enough to realy try it out. All that it takes to conect and disconect is to pull the blue cable unhook the wench hook and 2 water tight quick wire conectors. big_smile

Re: 2010 Polaris 400 ranger

That snow plow looks like its a solid piece of equipment. Looks well built and strong.  What does one of those cost?

Thanks for sharing the pictures and info.

Re: 2010 Polaris 400 ranger

The plow and the wench were  a little expensive I think is because it is all sold in seperate. The plow blade plow frame and mounting kit(polaris pure) was 1100 bucks and the wench(3500 lb polaris) was 500 bucks but the thing  is it was made for this UTV (no drilling or welding)and it dosent hang down and kill your ground clerance or run the length of UTV like most plow systems and it is super easy to take on and off. I purchased from dealer when I purchased UTV dont know if it can be found cheeper any where else. I waited 2 weeks for mount they were on back order but then again thats about my luck.
