I have a 06 ranger xp 700 and the light with the wrench on it next to the key switch stays on.How do you reset to go out?Thanks

1. Enter the diagnostic mode. Toggle to the service interval screen.
2. Press and hold the mode switch for about seven (7) seconds, until
either ON or OFF appears in the Rider Information Center, depending
on your preference.
To reset the service interval:
1. Enter the diagnostic mode. Toggle to the service interval screen.
2. Press and hold the mode switch for 2-3 seconds, until the wrench
icon flashes. Release the switch.
3. Press and release the mode switch once to advance the setting by
one hour. Press and hold the mode switch to advance the hours
quickly.
NOTE: If you scroll past the intended number, press and hold the switch until
the hours cycle back to zero.
4. When the desired setting is displayed, wait until the wrench icon
stops flashing. The new service interval is now programmed.

I do not have the speedometer with diagnostic menu.All I have is the seperate lite on dash with the wrench on it.I do not know of any codes.Thanks

Polaris rangers built from 2007 till now have the digital gage read out and 2006 back will have a check engine light. The light will not go out till the problem is fixed or the bulb burns out. If you have turned the key on and off a full cycle then there is a problem that needs to be corrected. You can remove the negative battery cable for a few minutes to reset the ECU but if the light returns after the reset then you will need to ask the ECU what the code is and correct the problem or problems.......

If I read it correctly the lite flaseh and stops and flashes a # of times.Is this the code.I think it is 4561.Is this a possible code?
