I live in Idaho Falls, Idaho and have been lurking on this forum since last November after meeting a few of you in the parking lot for Fins and Things. It was fun to see your group and we were impressed with Brutus and a few of the others. We have been riding bikes and 4 wheelers in Moab several years.
Currently I ride a slightly lifted 2010 RZR and have a real bad jet boat fetish that takes up alot of my time. My wife says I have too many bad habits!!???
We have thought about going to the UTV rally in April for a couple of years, but have not gotten it done. We currently have reservations for the motor home for the April event. I recently saw the information regarding the Rally on the Rocks event in May. If you had to only pick one event to attend, which do you think would be best for a first timer with a spouse that is not sure the large group ride will be fun?
Your help is appreciated.

I was in that group! If you are Doug - you will remember me (Brad originally from Blackfoot ). I will be attending Rally on the Rocks. I will not support UTV Rally anymore... might change my mind if I get the videos I paid for , but I doubt it.

I'm with badley. I would go to the "rally on the rocks" since I am also out a DVD that will be a year old paid for if ever received. I have had fun years past but I think the rally on the rocks will flow better since there is not a big car show that week. Also if you haven't made reservations for lodging you could be out.
Are we camping yet?

I'm going to the April Rally. I can't go in May so that's really my only decision maker. Seeing you guys say you "still" have not received your DVD is disappointing. I've seen several posts saying there coming (other forum), but can't believe you guys still don't have them. Looks like I will avoid ordering the DVD at registration.

I saw the post from Chris back in December stating that. I have a feeling the "trail" traffic will be less than Rally on the Rocks so maybe that's a good thing.

I'm sure Kyle and Michelle's event will be great, as will the 4th Annual Moab UTV Rally. As far as the DVD's go, I'm supposed to have the final copy today for final editing from Greg Painter from Side x Side Mania, and I'll be making any final changes/updates to it this weekend. They will ship out next week...although drastically late, everyone and then some will get a copy. Moab is the best place in the world to ride, in my opinion, so pick the event that's dates best fit in your schedule and let's go have some fun. They're basically the same exact event, give or take a few things here and there, and my guess is that both events won't be as big as the UTV Rally was last year, but the two combined will be bigger as a whole, which is great for Moab, the industry, and the participants. If anyone has any questions about the 4th Annual Moab UTV Rally, visit here: http://www.utvrally.com or email me at chris@utvrally.com I'll start a new thread outlining the details of the event for everyone.

Our event is shaping up to be bigger than last year, With Yamaha and Arctic Cat onboard along with all of our great sponsors.
http://www.rallyontherocks.com/Welcome.html Our list of vendors and sponsors grows daily! http://www.rallyontherocks.com/forum/vi … p?f=4&t=13
We have UTV Offroad Magazine advertising for us and backing our event. We have great trailguides and more trails than any other event has to offer. You won't have to compete with a car show to get a hotel room in town either.....Don't think for one minute that these are the same events.....

Chris, Sorry you feel that way, I wish you good luck on your event. Michelle and I invested alot into UTV Rally to make it what it was. I am doing the same to insure Rally on the Rocks does just as well.

Chris, I didn't see where he was knocking you or your Rally. He was just pushing for his Rally just like you did yours.
I remember reading lots of not so nice stuff you've written about him on your UTVRally site. Then strangely enough those posts disappeared from the forum along with posts made by others you chose to manipulate the situation to a certain direction. Then banned those from responding ever again. There will be 2 Rallys', so be it, move on.
