Re: Howdy from KS Rocks

Hey guys,  my name is Chris (Parakeet) and I'm with Kansas Rocks Recreation Park in Ft. Scott, Ks.  We are a 240 acre offroad park that caters to hikers, moutain bikers and 4x4's. On our 240 acres we have over 65 different trails and obstacles for our patrons.  Our most prevelent users are jeeps and other fullsize 4x4's. We are a slow speed park with a speed limit of 5-10mph.

We have had many discussions about opening up the park to ATV's/UTV's.  After much debating we decided to open the park to the UTV crowd last summer on a trial basis.  After almost a year of positive feedback from the UTV's we've had at KS Rocks, it's going to be a permenent fixture at our park.

I've found your forums for two reasons.  First and foremost is to let the UTV community know that they have a new place where they are welcome to ride.  Second reason is I'm in the very early stages of planning and possibly putting on a UTV themed event at our park.  (think Camp Jeep for UTV's)  Due to us being a slow speed park there would be no racing events.

Now here's where I need your guy's help.  Would there be enough people with UTV's that would be interested in something like this?  What activitys would you like to see at an event?  What would you guys think a fair price for an entry to an event?  Tell me what you think.

Don't be alarmed if you see this on multiple forums as I want as much feedback as I can.  If you have any questions or comments post them here, email me directly or you can find me in the forums at www.ksrockspark.com.  Thanks for helping me out

welcome too the forum Chris. Sounds like you have a cool park there, if I'm ever out that way I will look it up.
