Re: Ranger HD Lift & Carry with Tracks

I am purchasing a 2011 Ranger HD.

Does anyone know if the Prospector SR Tracks will work with the Lift & Carry System, including the V-Plow, Grapple and Dump Bucket?

Thanks in advance.

I can not accurately answer this question but would assume if they worked on the 2010 and maybe even the 2009 models I would think it would work. Your best bet would be to contact the manufacture and check with them  .

Re: Ranger HD Lift & Carry with Tracks

Thank you.  Good advice.

I have contacted Polaris,  although their contact page at "Pure Polaris" seemed to require an order number -- and I have not yet ordered the parts, so I did not provide them with an order number.

I'd like to know the answer before I order all the parts.  Here's to hoping Polaris gets back to me.

I'll post their response.

Re: Ranger HD Lift & Carry with Tracks

Polaris got back to me today with an automated email response along the lines of "we don't answer technical questions, please contact your local dealer".

So I did that, and the local dealer called Polaris.

The local dealer said that Polaris stated that the tracks could not be used with the Lift and Carry System because the Lift & Carry adds too much weight.

I stated that I had seen multiple pictures of Rangers with tracks with the Lift & Carry on the internet and he more or less just shrugged his shoulders.

I am going to go ahead and do it -- but I will also add heavier shocks and springs in the front.

I have not checked on the newer models but EPI sells heavy duty spring kits for Polaris rangers. I am not sure you will need shocks though but that is your choice. Also now that Kabota is now useing polaris for there line now and they may have some heavy duty stuff since they run dirt scoops on the front of there UTVs.

As for Polaris they are horrible on that don't talk to use reply feature on there site. I ran into that a few years ago on something and it was rather nerving. They should remove the contact link all together on there site. As for talking with the dealers on issues I have had better replies on technical questions from my cat lol
