I just replaced my '05 XP's steering. Now I'm having trouble with the toe in. I adjust the tie rods ends out as far as I dare go and the wheels still point outward severely. Can the threaded rod be screwed out of the crimped arm to further adjust the toe in or can you only adjust the tie rod ends? If so, how do you adjust the threaded rod without tearing up the threads?
Thanks for any advice.

It sounds like the Tie rods are all the way tight on the rack side only of the of the tie rods  Make sure that both sides are all the way tight on the rack side on both sides then screw the tie rod ends all the way tight as well on both sides with the Jam nut screwed all the way on the tie rod ends. Make sure that the steering wheel is perfectly centered first by counting the numbers of turns the steering wheel turns from stop to stop and split the difference. Do not worry if the steering wheel is not level at this point but only make sure the rack is centered perfectly. Now install the tie rods onto the struts. Lock the steering wheel so it will not move and turn the tie rod out exactly the same number of turns on both sides till you have 1/8 to 1/4 toe out. Lock the jam nuts and reinstall the steering wheel so that it is level. Make sure all adjustments are done on a flat and level surface with the UTV on the ground......

Thanks once again Rangerdale. Your diagnosis and instructions were exactly right yet again. Tie rods on both sides were screwed all the way in. I still can't figure out how we missed it during the first four hours of trying the move the toe in.
