Just baught a 2010 ranger xp and am wondering what to remove first to make it better since factory slowed it down. Suspension? motor? useless junk? Also want to make it faster, put a cage where i can still dump the bed and put a seat in the back. Any suggestions will be much appreciated. thanks

That is a very wide and open question and hard to answer. If it is under warranty then not much but when out of warranty that opens a big door and it all comes down to how much you want to spend. I would start with in order below.
The Engine
1) Clutching System Upgrade.
2) Cam Change with ECU upgrade along with a fuel controller and AF gauge.
3) Upgrade exhaust system and Air cleaner. Maybe have the head done up as well.
4) The big money Turbo or Supercharger upgrade after all the engine upgrades have been done.
The other stuff
1) Add a winch.
2) Add upgraded battery.
3) Upgrade tires and shocks. Must do Clutching along with taller Tires.
4) Spare Tire Carrier.
5) Removable front windshield and soft top.
6) Sound system If you like to disturb the peace....
7) Some upgraded harnesses. If you have done the engine modes and drive on the edge this moves to the top of the stack.
This can go on forever and it all depends on how much $$$ you want to spend and how deep your pockets are  .

Got those in mind already and am not too worried about the warranty stuff. I usually do the work to my toys myself, however they are yamaha's and easy to work on. I guess my question is, I didnt know if factory put stuff on there that restricts or limits things? Can I remove it and what are the reprocussions.
Also, who makes the rear cage that still allows for the dump bed and who makes the rear seat that will attach to the lock and ride system?
Thank you rangerdale, still #1 in my book.

The main difference in yours is the cam, the rzr has a hotter cam. The RZR engine is rated at 52 hp and the XP 800 is rated at 46 hp, I would have to check but I am also sure that the ECU would also have a hotter tune as well. This said, there is no easy detune device or restrictor to get the RZR factory Horse power without cracking into the engine. As for the rear cage, I will do some looking to see if one is out there somewhere.
