Re: New Razor questions

Would like to buy a new razor, not sure if I should buy a 2010 or 2011. I lilke the S model and it looks like they lowered the price on the 2011. I can buy in AZ or CA. Any good dealers you guys like?
Are there problems in certain years to stay away from? It will be used mostly in the desert, so wide stance  is fine. Thanks in advance.

In California I do not have any recommendations on good repair dealers but the biggest dealer is listed below. As for which RZR I would want it would only be the S version. As for problems I think they are mostly been resolved since the first year it was released. This is where I got my 2005 from and they were the only ones that had it at the time......

Hi i have a 2011 rzrs and 2 2009 rzrs  the 2011 is not as fast on the top end as the 2009-2010's but the power band is much smoother due to a lot of engine work , smile Frank

Would you consider the smoothness due to the new engine management system on the 2011 model or was it due to other changes :?: .

Re: New Razor questions

The cheaper S doesn't have the Maxis Bighorn tires, or Fox shocks but they still offer models that do. Everything else looks the same. The cheaper (er less expensive  tongue ) model is perfect for those who are going to change that stuff out anyway. Is the rest of the power band about the same Frank?

It is always good to have new members come on with new information. I have not personally kept up on the new models and really have not worked on the newest stuff as well big_smile . We get a lot of people asking for help on stuff and it is getting harder and harder to answer questions due to all the new models.......

Re: New Razor questions

The 2011 RZR S has new plastic on the frontend.  This new design allows better air flow to the radiator and looks cool in my humble opinion.  I think Polaris made a change to the roll cage on the 2011 model as well.  I believe the roll cage change was made in an effort to reduce overall cost along with the tire and shock changes.  I think the 2011 is about $1,500 cheaper. (I suppose that number depends on your dealer)

Re: New Razor questions

Just picked up a 2011 S today in Nor Cal.
Not a lot of deals to be found and I shopped hard.
Most places will have 1 in stock or none at all. They move as fast as they come in for the reputable dealers.

I got mine at the Polaris dealer in Santa Rosa CA. They were honest and fair.

I caution anyone trying to deal with the Polaris dealer in Concord CA. They gave me an out the door price over the phone and after a 2 hour drive there they would not honor it. It was obviously a bait job and I wasnt amused. ( It must have been the salesman we fires this morning routine. But your here so lets just finance the difference.)

Headed to Cow Mountain off road park in the AM to break it in. Im excited.
