Re: Yamaha Rhino 450 Belt

What brand of belts have you been using? Have you checked the clutch alignment?

Re: Yamaha Rhino 450 Belt

A 450 will easily smoke a belt if it is used in high range and constantly getting stuck. Is it ventilated?

450's are really a utility machine instead of a sport like the 660 or 700. They are great for plowing and pulling but suffer when it comes to duning or running at their top speed of 33 mph.

Re: Yamaha Rhino 450 Belt

A cdi on a 450 does help in lowering the rpm range but it doesn't help on the belts under those conditions. A 450cc engine moving a 1200+ pound machine in certain conditions will have it's days limited.
