GNCC's new utv race rules.

I know that most of the people on here are out west, but i thought i would update everyone on the rule changes for the gncc utv races this year. Last year you had to have a passenger, 4 point harnesses, and doors or nets. Now the driver and passenger both have to wear fire suits, isn't this alittle much, or is bursting into flames more of an issue than i think?

Are these rules normal for utv racing, or do you think they are trying to keep weekend warriors out so it looks better on TV?

Guess I will have to look more into the style of race before I give out my opinion. Fires do happen but its rare.
