Reading through many posts on this site tonight and see a few people have had this problem with their 2008 Rzr. We are having this problem with our 2007 Ranger. Fuel gauge flashes even though the gas tank is full. called the dealer and they stated seems to be a common problem and the only way to correct is to exchange out the whole gas tank, at a cost of about $650. Seems ridiculous when the Ranger has less than 100 hours of use. Apparently, Polaris doesn't see the need to recall the part and replace the faulty unit.
My question is, if you continue to drive the unit with the gauge flashing, will the engine eventually stall and die due to the signal from the faulty sending unit even though there is still gas in the tank?
Anyone else experiencing this problem and have another fix?

No it will not do much more then just burn the bulb out. And I would think if you are under warranty it should be taken care of. As for replacing the whole fuel tank that is polarises way of getting more money from you. All you need to do is get a new fuel pump assembly that will include the sending unit....

thank you for your response. I am quite surprised I haven't heard from more people as I have read on other sites of a number of other people with the same year and model Polaris ranger having the same problem. You have been the only one to respond! thank you, now i feel a more confident in taking it out to the desert without worrying we will stall out because of this issue.
