I have a 2009 polaris RZR-S,whenever I change the oil and filter upon finishing the dipstick shows overfull.I use 2 qts.of oil as is called for, warm it up and drain it on a level surface.Im really getting frustrated as nobody seems to have a logical explanation for this.Am I doing something wrong?

You are not doing anything wrong. I noticed this on the Polaris ranger years ago and and it is OK. I also have the same problem with my ford Ranger and 5.0 Mustang, they claim 5 qts but it always shows over full after the change. it has never been an issue so since then I always imagine where the oil was at the time of the oil change and make sure that is the new level afterwards till the next change. It always comes out the same way every time......

Re: Crankcase overfill

I noticed this too! I usually just leave about 1/8 in 2 quart and add little by little until I am at the full mark. I like to know if I am using or losing oil and have it start out right on the line is a warm fuzzy for me  :? My F150 and Mustang GT are the same too, if I use recomended capacity it shows over full on the stick  roll
