my rhinos winch has a synthetic rope with a slip over sleeve that came with it on the rope. when i raise and lower the plow the sleeve gets all bunched up in the spool.. what do u guys do to prevent this?

I do not run a plow but Redmoose may have an answer for this or just PM him. I know with my winch I need to run it out now and then and re-spool it to keep it in good shape......

The sleeve is to avoid abrasion of your rope if you have to winch over / around an obstacle. My winch is wound with standard woven steel cable, so I don't have a sleeve. I have seen a number of rigs on another forum with a shorter web strap for plowing - almost like a tow strap - in place of rope or cable. I think they just wind off their standard winch cable at the beginning of plowing season and substitute the strap. I hear that avoids a lot of un-winding and rewinding, and prevents birds nests in your winch. I haven't tried it yet, but I plan to. Here's a photo of one:
