New to the SXS. Currently run Can-Am Max (2 up ATV) 800 and 650. Almost went with a RZR (another story), but now seriously considerering a Rhino. For those of you that have a Rhino, do you think the 2008 changes warrant waiting and paying $1500-$2000 more than an 07?
BTW I live in Colorado and will do most riding @ or above 6000 ft.

I have an '07 and I think it is under powered in the sand dunes, even though I have done a few things to it, like CDI, RAIS intake, jets, and FMF pipe. It is a great trail machine but I would think the higher elevations would have a big affect on it also. I hope to find out in early Oct. I have a variety of jets waiting in the tool box. See if you can find soneone in Co. that can give you some better answers than this flat lander. I took it to Glamis, Ca. in Feb. and was disappointed with the power. That was with stock tires. After I returned home, I putchased some Aerospeed paddles and that did not help a whole lot. May have actually slowed it down more in the sand. As a side note, do you know anything about the annual ride they have in the Buena Vista area about this time of the year?
I am going to take a hard look at the new Kasasaki V-Twin 750 when it comes out in the spring. Probably a step down in quality but not as far down as a Polaris. Just my 2 cents worth.

The rhino is a good choice even if it's an 07'. Why? Well, the rhino is good ont he trails, it does do decent in the sand. "Durmax" says it has no power in the dunes. What do you expect? Do you expect it to run like a 600HP sandrail? Of course not, It's an 1100LBS 23HP Utility vehicle. You can only expect so much out of it, but for what it is, and what a person can do with it, It is an extraordinary mechine.
