Re: Ipod - dash mount holder?

I ordered an amp and speaker bar for my Rhino. Amp is Ipod ready, weatherproof and wired for easy install. Anyone know of an Ipod holder/bracket? Would like to mount on the dash (below digital gauge) and next to GPS. I have not decided on an Ipod (or similar) yet because I want a decent mount. Thanks.

If interested, this is the amp I bought (should be here today, will report on install and how it sounds)

Re: Ipod - dash mount holder?

I am very interested in how that speaker bar sounds. I have been eying it for a while now. Be sure and give a report on it.

As far as mounts go I will get another forum member to chime in on what he has that works really good.

Re: Ipod - dash mount holder?

ok i have that very amp system

one word of advice

BUILD YOUR OWN SYSTEM!!!

that amp and stuff is ok but marginal at best even on a stock rhino.  the sound output isnt enough and its hard to hear at wide open throttle

here is your ipod mounts

here is a decent amp

and heres some speekers

we just got done installing a similiar setup in my roommates rhino and its killer.

you dont need all that volume control stuff. just get a rca to headphone jack. the ipod can control the volume

i will be doing something like this in my rzr when i get it.

Re: Ipod - dash mount holder?

Thanks guys! I should have asked before I bought the damn thing. Talked to others that said it was a nice system, not super powerful but good enough and good sound. Should have talked to some rockers first  8) Got the amp yesterday, very small amp  :?  I am not looking for "killer sound" but I am having my doubts. All cables/connections seem to be well thought out - for the price I paid they should have included some shrink tube. Speaker bar was out of stock, they are supposed to have it shipped direct from manufacture. I like the idea of the speaker bar tucked up and out of the way, but we will see how it sounds - should have it in by Moab trip. Still need to buy an Ipod, but likely today. Without even hearing it I would say RMD right on the money - better sound and much cheaper.

Re: Ipod - dash mount holder?

Yes Sir! I tried it out yesterday (under load  8)  ). RMD right, when you have the engine opened up it is really hard to hear. System sounds nice when idling, and in mid rpms it is OK (a sub would help). RMD's suggestion of putting together you own system is right on - you could have a kicking system for much less $. I liked the idea of the speaker bar, but I think the speakers loaded in them are weak. It is nice to have them up and out of the way.  Also keep bumping my head on the speaker bar getting in  :x  While seated clearance OK - I'm about 6', any taller I might have a problem. If you do not run a roof I believe the bar could be mounted above the cage. Trying to get some tunes loaded in the Ipod. No accesories available for the Gen 3 yet... had to scab in a squeeze dash mount  sad  You can check it out this weekend.

P.S. Black Rhino system was my fist choice, but didn't want amp under the seat or speakers scattered around. Water crossings would be a problem... if you are in the sand all the time it would be bitchin !

Re: Ipod - dash mount holder?

I love the bar idea on the roof though. What about upgrading the speakers that are in it? I know that could easily be done. I wonder if they would sell the bar empty....

Re: Ipod - dash mount holder?

Badly,

Think your setup in Moab sounded really good.  Nothing compares to Jared's custom setup though!   lol

Thats what I like about Rhinos and UTV's in general, everyone can do something different.  There is not two rhino's/utv's alike.  They are all custom machines that the owner customized themselves.  Options are endless.....
