Re: RZR heater..

There are many different options as far as heaters go. I do not have any experience with any of them... However I would think that unless you have a completely enclosed cab the "heat factor" will probably not be all that great. It might be just enough to take the chill of your legs and hands or something while just sitting but once the RZR starts to move I doubt it will do the job you will be looking for. Maybe someone else will chime in on this. What kind of temps will you be riding in?

Re: RZR heater..

I'd say buy a jacket.  Look for snow-mobile suits etc if you're in that cold of conditions.  There are aftermarket cab enclosures, they're bulky looking.  I use a thor brand motorcycle jacket that is wind and waterproof.  These jackets usually have vent openings for when it heats up, and some have zip off sleeves.

Re: RZR heater..

I agree with Cooter, buy a jacket - especially if you dress like your thumbnail wink
I also agree with Mr. Kryponite - I would not buy a heater unless you have an enclosed cab.

Re: RZR heater..

hahahha..  you guys are funny. well i'm in Arizona, and it is usually nice weather, but i do go to Glamis and it gets cold there -cold for me anyway!  i like to be warm!!  i do have a jacket but was saw the "heater" that polaris has and thought it may be a good idea..  i may look into seats that heat up instead.  and yes, i do like to dress cute!

Re: RZR heater..

One thing that was not mentioned - a windshield! My wife said the full windshield makes all the difference when it is cold. We run a 1/2 windshield in the summer...

Re: RZR heater..

I didn't notice the thumbnail at first, but I'm sure there would be pleanty of offers to keep you warm.

I don't have a windshield, but I've heard they swirl the dust into the cab worse than without.  You may be warm, but dirty.

RZRGirl
let me know if you find a decent deal on a heater. I'm going to put one in mine too. Some of these guys think it's rediculous because they live where it doesn't get cold. There were several times last year we got really cold while riding. Jackets don't cut it.

Re: RZR heater..

I installed a heater on my rzr. It was not difficult, and works. I have a canvas cab, and it keeps it confortable. But it doesn't do any good without
the cab.

Re: RZR heater..

I installed the Polaris heater in mine last week. It is awsome, puts out about as much heat as my pickup heater. Even with the cab off, it'll warm your legs and feet. I'm glad I did it.
