Well we just received about 6 inches or so of snow at my house so I had to break the rhino out to do a little playin in the fresh snow. What a blast!
Anyway I have a personal driveway that is forever long and I am thinking about using the rhino to plow it. Do any of you out there have a plow on your rhino? What brand? Pros and cons? I am looking for any info that I can get from all of you.
Thanks!

Get the 60" Dozer plow from RM atv. I went all out with the tapered blade, flap and markers. It will winch about 16" + off the ground. easy on easy off with two pins and winch hook....need phot's let me know.

Thanks that helps a lot! What lb of winch did you go with? Do you really like the taper?

I would definetly keep the taper. I use a venom 3500# with a 15' vinyl coated cable. The winch will not hold the plow up with a 50' cable on it. The picture is only about half the height, more like 30" height. You will shame those with ATV plows, Gauranteed!

As far as winches go.... What are some pros and cons with the different brands? Since I would have to buy one for the snow plow I would want to be able to use it in Moab and the mountains etc too. Any help would be great!
Thanks for the info so far!!!

Also is the entire plow supported by these two pivot points? Kind of doesnt seem like it would be all that strong?

I would go with the venom 3500# off ebay or their website. I would have Warn in a minute if they wasn't 450.00 in the dirt all the time. I have relied on it many times in the mud. The plow pins are 5/8" diameter and mounts to a 1/4" skidplate. It is the same plow as the American brand but made for Tusk (rocky mountain atvs brand). This is my second year of plowing my street and two drives, no breaks other than three winch cables snapped from the weight of the snow.

MR. KRYPTONITE - The reason that I bought a 450 Rhino was to plow snow from our driveway. I bought the Yamaha plow and like it a lot because we have had no snow since the purchase. Thanks Yamaha, keep the snow away. It's worked for a year!!
Are you planning on Moab in May?

Just get it from the hardware store and hammer the ferruls and clamp on it. Yamaha makes a SWEET plow system but it's not cheap. I think RM atv sells a short cable too.

I had hoped that buying a snow plow would keep the snow away but it only worked for a year. The Yamaha plow may be too high priced but it worked like a charm in the 6 inches of snow this week.

I seen the Yamaha plow out to Steadmans while picking up my rhino for the clutch. I wasn't impressed with the temporary winch idea with a tie-down type strap as the lift. I have broke my 1/4" cable three times now and these break even easier. The max height for stacking snow is only around eight inches. It is a lighter blade having plastic instead of all steel however.

This will save me a lot of typing....

I have a Venom 3500XT winch for my Eagle plow. The winch will NOT hold the plow up off the ground. When you let go of the switch it sloooowly comes back down. So I bought a Warn plow actuator and use that with a couple of pulleys. (See the photos in UOR post)
I prefer not to use my main winch because if I break it plowing then I won't have a winch if I get stuck.
I've got a 450 Rhino and that thing plows snow better then my John Deere tractor with the loader on it. Low range, locked front end and nothing stops it.
