Re: Tires

I keep hearing about these "Big Horn" tires are the best. Any suggestions?

Re: Tires

I think so! IMO they are the best all around radial. Traction excellent in a variety of conditions, smooth ride and they wear very well (another forum member said he put over 3000 miles on his last set) Shortcommings: sideways traction not as good as some and they are a little heavy if you are in the sand. Hope this helps.

Re: Tires

Thanks, do you have any pics? Do you know if I went with more aggressive tires, would I have problems with breaking axles?

Re: Tires

You need Maxxis Bighorn tires. My cousin lives in Colorado and runs in the rocks alot and has great success with the Bighorn tires. They are tough.
Now find me some rims, LOL.

Re: Tires

I just finished installing a set of Maxxis Bighorn tires on ITP 14" Alloy 108 Machined Wheels and what a difference it made over the stock Goodyear tires.  I am now able to get up to 50 MPH on the paved road with my new muffler and tires. The only trouble I have is that at about 47MPH it starts backfiring. I will try a bigger carb jet and hopefully that will take care of the problem. I would highly reccoment the Bighorn to all that ride in rough country with lots of rocks. Wally from Adams County Ohio.
