Re: Introduce Yourself!

Hey Folks

Well my 2003 polaris is trashed.  I use it on a college campus for pushing snow and spreading deicer.....  It seems that the crank shaft keyway and the fly wheel keyway won't hold the key anymore and they continually keep breaking the key.  so it either means a new crank and fly wheel or a new engine

and the engine for that model  the eh500ple153  is no longer available and I have not been able to locate  any parts.

has anyone ever repowered a polaris UTV or does anyone know of any direct fitment engines or engine that could fit with a bit of "engineering"

Re: Introduce Yourself!

New guy question. Thinking about getting a side by side and saw a Supermach (www.supermach.com), anybody heard of these? They're Chinese in origin, company partially owned by Yamaha, looks like a Rhino and the parts are supposed to interchange. Come in 700cc for $6900 or 500cc for $5900 with 1 year warranty. I just need one for some farm work and running around a little. Information & opinions appreciated
Thanks

Re: Introduce Yourself!

Welcome Marc - sorry can't help. Maybe Max could tell you how to drop in a BRP Twin  wink

Welcome Rhinoracer611 - LOL I would take that job  8)

Welcome stainless - I have heard the same about interchangeability, but I do not trust the Chinese knockoffs... yet! I would spend another 1K and buy an 07' 660 - I have seen several dealer closouts for around 8K on the 660 and around 6.5-7k on the 450. For tooling around the farm and If money an issue, go for the 450 Rhino. Tried and true.
