Hey guys,
I just bought my RZR and I am hoping to take it out this weekend. The temps are to be just under 100 degrees. How many hours/miles should I put on it before I open it up?
Thanx,
Dave

This may surprise you (it did me)...

A couple of my friends swear by this method. I have been too timid to try it. I just don't worry about it and ride like it already has a lot of miles on it. I have heard from several mechanics I have known that it is good to vary RPM's during break in and have always followed this advice on my new vehicles. I am a firm believer in an early oil change!

Just bought a TRX250 and CRF250x and I was told to get it good and hot no more than 30 minutes, let it cool, run it 45 minutes heat it up again.
Break in, sure is different from the old days?

Life should not be a journey to the grave in pretty and well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, used up worn out and screamin "WOW! What a ride!

I bought a new Harley Electra Glide in 1988 and picked it up at the factory. It had 0 miles on it when I strapped all my gear for a cross country trip on it. My wife and I jumped on, rode out of the factory, and proceded to ride 4,150 miles in 28 days ending in San Diego. I rode it like I stole it from mile 1 to mile 92,000 and then sold it. It was one of the most reliable bikes I've ever had because I broke it in running hard.
I had .3 hours on my RZR when I picked it up. I've driven it hard since day one with no motor problems. I have over 500 mile on it.
I'm a FIRM believer in breaking it in hard and fast. It hasn't failed me yet.
