Re: BELT TROUBLES?

HEY GUYS, I PUT MY RHINO IN A MUDHOLE FOR THE FIRST TIME LAST NIGHT AND GOT STUCK(MUD WAS UP TO MY A$$). AFTER PULLING MYSELF OUT WITH A WINCH, MY BELT WAS SLIPPING TO BEAT ALL. THIS IS THE FIRST ATV/UTV I HAVE EVER OWNED THAT WAS BELT DRIVEN, AND WAS WONDERING IF THIS IS COMMON THAT THE STOCK BELT SUCKS OR IF I HAVE BIGGER ISSUES. I AM GONNA CLEAN IT OFF AND TEAR IT DOWN AND CHECK THE BELT. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY RECCOMENDATIONS FOR A GOOD BELT. ALSO, IS THERE ANY THING I CAN DO TO KEEP BELTS FROM SLIPPING IN THE MUD BESIDES STAYING OUT OF THE MUD.  i HAVE RAN IT IN WATER ALMOST TO THE AIR INTAKE SEVERAL TIMES AND HAVE NEVER HAD THE FIRST SLIP IN IT UNTIL I GOT STUCK. ANYWAY APPRECIATE ANY IDEAS, SUGGESTIONS,,,,

Re: BELT TROUBLES?

How big are your tires? If it's your sticky mud I would look at a heavier clutch kit and belt to put in it. Mine used to bog down while plowing and took a lot of torque to get it moving in heavy wet snow, with the clutch kit it rolls with throttle response and the larger tires.

Are we camping yet?

Re: BELT TROUBLES?

I think my belt is slipping sometimes too. Did you get a chance to look at your belt? I'm curious what you found out.
