2nd UTV Rally REPORT!!! ~MOAB~

Thanks to all those that have posted on the Time Independent website. I do have a problem I need to figure out though, which is if anyone knows if the 4 UTV's listed in this article were indeed a part of the Rally:

This is unfortunate... I hate to see this kind of talk in the news. It is my guess but I think these 4 UTV's were not part of the Rally. Those involved in the Rally did a great job respecting those we came in contact with and also the city of Moab from what I saw. If anyone has any information please help Chris and the rest of us out. -Jared

Me too man! We'll hopefully get to the bottom of it and hopefuly prevent it from happening in the future if it was indeed one of our participants. I just wish the law had seen them.

We had some that passed us on Saturday out on the Hells revenge, they was from vernal area. On the way out of town there was plenty others too. For the amount of off-roading Moab has you would imagin they would develope a trail access system. The piaute and other trail systems have them. It's funny how one bad incident can make the whole rally look bad. Also, I need to comment on the vehicles that cut in while being escorted and the good ole' finger jesture from one guy... :?

This is where community policing comes in....all you need is a tag number or discription to help make a difference.

Thanks, Jared, for the reminder! Glad I got to see you do the sidestroke, in between Andre's hammer blows straightening the tie rod! Really loved the fist out the side of the machine, while it was on its side! Down, but not out! :twisted:

On the serious note, we had almost 100% positive experiences with the bicyclists, both on Porcupine Rim and Hell's Revenge. Had a couple that didn't wave or talk, but we always gave them the right-of-way whenever we crossed their paths. Pity that someone, regardless of whether they were in our rally or not, would be so rude on the trail.

I only got to watch it very shortly, but it was hilarious, because we had the passenger yelling directions for them over the loudspeaker.
